Whatever happened to the York Hotel?

When the Bow Tower and Parkade were being built, people involved painstakingly took the facade of the York Hotel down, numbered all the bricks and put them in storage with a promise to the city that it would be built when the second tower was built. Well the second tower was not built. They made promises to the city that they didn't keep as well.
